Hotel Can Xiquet, Cantallops, Catalan Pyrenees

Surrounded by the natural landscape of Albera, Can Xiquet can be defined as a quality Catalan Country Inn offering all of its visitors and customers a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The complex combines three basic points: the restaurant, the hotel and the riding school. Despite having only ten rooms, the hotel provides all the facilities of a luxury hotel. They are tastefully decorated and designed to be pleasant and comfortable, and they have fantastic views of the Catalonia Pyrenees. All rooms are furnished with television, mini-bar and security box. For the use of hotel guests there is a small gym near the pool area with sauna, whirlpool, solarium and fitness machines. The restaurant offers creative Mediterranean cooked prepared with the most fresh ingredients. The dining room seats a maximum of 30 diners, and there is a private dining room which can seat 20 people for meetings or celebrations. The dining-room is decorated by a lovely exhibit of paintings. The kitchen is one of Can Xiquet´s strong points. The kitchen staff designs and prepares avant-guarde dishes with the freshest ingredients to create true culinary works of art. The aim of Can Xiquet's restaurant is to keep a balance between the imagination and good culinary sense. Can Xiquet's menu develops the traditional Mediterranean cuisine, and brings out the delicious quality of its products as well as imaginative and elaborated dishes. The wine list has been put together with the best wines from Spain's wine-producing regions in mind, and aims to satisfy the most demanding palates. As a complementary touch of distinction, Can Xiquet has also composed a selection of Havana cigars in which the different types of Cuban cigars are described and recommended to choose the best occasion to smoke them. Dinners are served on the terrace when the weather allows it. All of these facts make sure the most enjoyable evening. Horse riding Can Xiquet provides excursions on horseback in and around the Pyrenees. Outings can take from half a day to one week. Boarding services include 3x3 m stalls with feed and fully equipped paddocks.
