Golf: The 18 hole golf course spans some 5.990 metres, has a par of 71, a pitch and putt of 9 holes, a practice course with two levels, and approach areas, as well as a putting green. The preservation of the natural environment, and the careful design of the course mean that the golf course is not only attractive, but that it can be played in comfort by golfers of all levels. A Golf School has been created as part of the new complex of the Golf Course and the Hotel Peralada, run by highly qualified professionals; the school has practice facilities which include a video room for swing analysis and a cardiovascular gym. Peralada is an open course on flattish terrain. The design is resort-style and small olive trees line most of the fairways. This course is nearly always in excellent condition and when the greens are cut down for competitions, they can be devilishly fast. Peralada is an enjoyable course that has been considered by the PGA European Tour to be good enough to host one of their annual Pre-Qualifying Schools.
Spa: The philosophy of the Peralada Wine Spa is based on a therapy using extracts from the wine to help achieve improvements in health through relaxation and personalised treatments. The different treatments using grape-derivatives combat free radicals stimulate the production of collagen fibres and elastin, while promoting blood circulation. The Spa health centre completes its therapy service with a thermal circuit around its swimming pools, equipped with a sauna, a vaporarium (steam room), a Jacuzzi, heated marble, a barrel shower...and an exclusive "Gran Claustro" reserved for the most discerning of our clients.
The Castle Museum houses excellent collections of Spanish glass and ceramics, medieval sculpture, paintings, coins, ironwork and a wine museum as well as an exceptional library with over 70.000 books and an archive of original documents since the 9th century.
