The 3 star Hotel Terramar is located on the sea front of the magnificent beach of Llafranc. Discover this warm and friendly hotel, set in beautiful surroundings opposite the sea. Its history goes back to the year 1934, when Llafranc was nothing but a little cove of fishermen. Slowly, holiday-makers began to discover the beauty os its crystal-clear waters and natural surroundings.
Set by the beach, in the center os the Llafranc cove, Hotel Terramar offers you all the necessary comforts to enjoy your holiday with friends and family. It offers 53 rooms with new installations (hotel was fully refurbished in 2002), panoramic views and a large patio in front of the beach with fresh seasonal cuisine. All rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom, telephone, security box, television and hairdryer. Most rooms have a balcony. Family sized bedrooms with lounge are available.
In the first floor of the hotel we have a small fitness centre and a solarium-terrace, or if you are simply looking for relaxation, you can enjoy a good book or watch the fishermen’s boats in the relaxing Terramar terrace. Hotel Terramar offers its guests a bar-terrace and restaurant by the sea, with a wide variety of gastronomic offers. The menu has a varied selection of seasonal products from the Emporda region, subject to market availability you will find a range of fresh suggestions that vary each day. The hotel has a meeting room with capacity for 60 people in its theatre layout. It is available for conventions, meetings and cocktails. It is also equipped with air conditioning and has a wonderful view of the sea.

Surroundings: Llafranc is situated in the heart of Costa Brava, in a region known as Baix Emporda, Llafranc is 40 Km from Girona, 130 Km from Barcelona and 89 Km from the border with France. The distances from llafranc to the nearby towns are very short: 3km from palafrugell, and 7-10km from palamos, Begus, Pals and la Bisbal. Sant Sebastia mountain is located nearby, a breath-taking point from where you can admire the beautiful landcapes of Llafranc, Calella and the nearby town of Calafrugell. Golf: Golf Serres de Pals, Emporda Golf Club, Club Golf Costa brava and Golf Playa de Pals aresituated 15 minutes from the hotel.

I enjoyed staying at this small seafront hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were perfectly adequate for our one night stay. They had much the same amenities as you would find in some 4* hotels I have stayed at in the UK. Tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries, DD telephone and TV (it even had UK channels on it - great for catching up on the news first thing in the morning thanks to "Auntie". the location is fantastic and although we had rooms at the front of the hotel with balconies, the noise was not too intrusive. There are many restaurants along the promenade to chose from, but we chose to eat in. Because we were guests of the hotel, we were given a complimentary glass of wine which was a nice touch. The food was well prepared and served by friendly staff. I felt very safe walking along the beach on my own after our late meal and locals were friendly and acknowledged me without making me feel uncomfortable. The only issue I had was the price of breakfast. We decided to go to a croissant shop closeby and had a lovely cheap breakfast. If I go to Llafranc again I would like to stay there again. (I work at a large 4* city centre hotel so can be quite picky!)
